CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
jfs: fix array-index-out-of-bounds read in add_missing_indices
stbl is s8 but it must contain offsets into slot which can go from 0 to
127.
Added a bound check for that error and return -EIO if the check fails.
Also make jfs_readdir return with error if add_missing_indices returns
with an error. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: hns3: fixed hclge_fetch_pf_reg accesses bar space out of bounds issue
The TQP BAR space is divided into two segments. TQPs 0-1023 and TQPs
1024-1279 are in different BAR space addresses. However,
hclge_fetch_pf_reg does not distinguish the tqp space information when
reading the tqp space information. When the number of TQPs is greater
than 1024, access bar space overwriting occurs.
The problem of different segments has been considered during the
initialization of tqp.io_base. Therefore, tqp.io_base is directly used
when the queue is read in hclge_fetch_pf_reg.
The error message:
Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address ffff800037200000

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
exfat: fix out-of-bounds access of directory entries
In the case of the directory size is greater than or equal to
the cluster size, if start_clu becomes an EOF cluster(an invalid
cluster) due to file system corruption, then the directory entry
where ei->hint_femp.eidx hint is outside the directory, resulting
in an out-of-bounds access, which may cause further file system
corruption.
This commit adds a check for start_clu, if it is an invalid cluster,
the file or directory will be treated as empty. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
gve: Account for stopped queues when reading NIC stats
We now account for the fact that the NIC might send us stats for a
subset of queues. Without this change, gve_get_ethtool_stats might make
an invalid access on the priv->stats_report->stats array. |
| A flaw was found in libmodulemd. In the module stream v2 rpm-map emission path, an inner loop incorrectly uses the count of digest algorithms as its bound instead of the number of checksums in the current digest table. Crafted modulemd v2 metadata with multiple digest types can trigger an out-of-bounds read during YAML serialization, typically causing a crash and resulting in a denial of service. |
| RIOT is an open-source microcontroller operating system designed for Internet of Things devices and other embedded systems. Prior to 2026.07, _parse_reply() in sys/net/application_layer/dhcpv6/client.c omits minimum-length validation before passing IA_PD and IA_NA option bodies to sub-option parsers. A malicious or compromised DHCPv6 server can send a REPLY with an option length smaller than the required structure while MODULE_DHCPV6_CLIENT_IA_PD is enabled, causing _parse_ia_pd_option to read past the option body, size_t underflow, and unbounded out-of-bounds heap reads that can crash the device and may expose or corrupt memory. This issue is fixed in version 2026.07. |
| Imager::File::GIF versions before 1.006 for Perl allow out-of-bounds reads when consolidating GIF images.
With `gif_consolidate => 1`, palette indices from the image are used without checking the colour table's bounds. The i_readgif_low routine reads beyond the heap allocation and copies the bytes into output pixels. The default GIF reader is not affected.
The same code ships bundled in the Imager distribution.
An attacker supplying a crafted GIF can disclose adjacent heap memory through the decoded output and may crash the process. |
| FreeRDP from 3.0.0 before 3.32.0 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the Windows RAIL client that allows malicious RDP servers to trigger heap over-reads by sending non-NUL-terminated window titles. Attackers can send a full-length WINDOW_ORDER_FIELD_TITLE update that wf_rail_window_common passes to SetWindowTextW, corrupting titles or crashing the client. |
| libmikmod through 3.3.15 contains a global out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the MultiTracker loader MTM_Load() because the module channel count is never clamped. Attackers can supply a crafted .mtm file with a channel count above 32 to read past the static pat array, corrupting track indices and crashing the loading application. |
| libTiMidity through 0.2.8 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the SoundFont loader in src/sndfont.c that uses unvalidated sampleId and instrument generator values as table indices. Attackers can supply a crafted .sf2 file loaded through mid_set_soundfont() to read heap memory out of bounds and crash the application. |
| ValleyBell libvgm through commit a6eed945 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the PCM data-block decompressor caused by an unbounded compression-table index. Attackers can supply a crafted .vgm file with a small type 0x7F table and wider compressed values, causing DecompressDataBlk to over-read heap memory and crash consumers. |
| ytnef through 2.1.2 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in DecompressRTF() in lib/ytnef.c that never validates uncompressedSize for uncompressed RTF streams. Attackers can supply a crafted winmail.dat TNEF attachment with a malicious PT_BINARY MAPI property to crash ytnefprint or libytnef callers and leak adjacent heap memory. |
| libregf through 20260526 contains a heap out-of-bounds read in libregf_value_item_read_value_data() because it bounds value data size without subtracting the 4-byte old-format cell offset. Attackers can supply a crafted version 1.0/1.1 REGF hive with a value data cell ending its hive bin to leak adjacent heap bytes or crash parsers like regfexport and plaso. |
| libfwsi through 20260522 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in libfwsi_mtp_volume_values_read_data() that allows attackers to read past buffer bounds via crafted MTP volume shell items. Attackers can embed a 10 to 53 byte shell item with item data size of 44 or more in a .lnk file, jump list or shell bag to crash consuming processes. |
| OpenSlide through 4.0.1 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the MIRAX reader that allows attackers to read past the slide_positions array via crafted Slidedat.ini values. Attackers can supply a MIRAX slide whose CameraImageDivisionsPerSide does not evenly divide the image counts, crashing applications that open it and corrupting tile geometry. |
| AdPlug through 2.4 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in src/xsm.cpp that allows attackers to read before note_table by supplying a negative note index. Attackers can craft an XSM file with the ofTAZ! signature and a song byte of 0x80 or higher, causing a global-buffer-overflow read during playback that may crash affected applications. |
| FreeRDP before 3.32.1 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the Android client that allows malicious RDP servers to read beyond surface buffers by supplying unvalidated mappedWidth and mappedHeight values. Attackers can send a crafted RDPGFX_MAP_SURFACE_TO_WINDOW_PDU with oversized dimensions, causing android_UpdateWindowFromSurface to copy heap memory beyond the allocation, leading to crashes or memory disclosure. |
| FreeRDP before 3.32.1 contains a heap-based out-of-bounds read in WinPR's clipboard PNG-to-CF_DIB synthesis because winpr_read_png_from_buffer() allocates a bit-packed buffer for PNGs with bit depth below 8, while winpr_bitmap_write_buffer() copies rows assuming one byte per pixel. A malicious RDP server can send a crafted low-bit-depth PNG clipboard payload that, when pasted by the victim, discloses megabytes of heap memory. |
| FreeRDP before 3.32.1 on Windows contains a heap out-of-bounds read in client_cli_present_gateway_message that passes a byte count as wide-character printf precision. A malicious RD Gateway can send pre-authentication consent or service messages, causing the client to read twice the buffer size, leaking heap memory or crashing. |
| A flaw was found in device-mapper-multipath. A local user can trigger an out-of-bounds read by sending a command with a format string ending in a trailing percent character to the multipath daemon. This issue can allow the user to expose unintended daemon memory, leading to information disclosure, or cause the daemon to crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). |
