CVSS v3.1 |
Uncontrolled resource consumption for some Edge Orchestrator software before version 24.11.1 for Intel(R) Tiber(TM) Edge Platform may allow an unauthenticated user to potentially enable denial of service via local access.
| A malicious client can send many DNS messages over TCP, potentially causing the server to become unstable while the attack is in progress. The server may recover after the attack ceases. Use of ACLs will not mitigate the attack.
This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.18.1 through 9.18.27, 9.19.0 through 9.19.24, and 9.18.11-S1 through 9.18.27-S1. |
A flaw has been found in OFFIS DCMTK up to 3.6.9. The impacted element is the function DcmQueryRetrieveIndexDatabaseHandle::startFindRequest/DcmQueryRetrieveIndexDatabaseHandle::startMoveRequest in the library dcmqrdb/libsrc/dcmqrdbi.cc of the component dcmqrscp. This manipulation causes null pointer dereference. The attack requires local access. Upgrading to version 3.7.0 is sufficient to resolve this issue. Patch name: ffb1a4a37d2c876e3feeb31df4930f2aed7fa030. You should upgrade the affected component.
A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Contemporary Control System BASrouter BACnet BASRT-B 2.7.2. This vulnerability affects unknown code of the component Application Protocol Data Unit. The manipulation leads to denial of service. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. VDB-263890 is the identifier assigned to this vulnerability. NOTE: The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
Botan is a C++ cryptography library. X.509 certificates can identify elliptic curves using either an object identifier or using explicit encoding of the parameters. Prior to 3.5.0 and 2.19.5, checking name constraints in X.509 certificates is quadratic in the number of names and name constraints. An attacker who presented a certificate chain which contained a very large number of names in the SubjectAlternativeName, signed by a CA certificate which contained a large number of name constraints, could cause a denial of service. The problem has been addressed in Botan 3.5.0 and a partial backport has also been applied and is included in Botan 2.19.5.
A vulnerability has been identified in SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU CR40 (6ES7288-1CR40-0AA0) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU CR60 (6ES7288-1CR60-0AA0) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU SR20 (6ES7288-1SR20-0AA0) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU SR20 (6ES7288-1SR20-0AA1) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU SR30 (6ES7288-1SR30-0AA0) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU SR30 (6ES7288-1SR30-0AA1) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU SR40 (6ES7288-1SR40-0AA0) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU SR40 (6ES7288-1SR40-0AA1) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU SR60 (6ES7288-1SR60-0AA0) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU SR60 (6ES7288-1SR60-0AA1) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU ST20 (6ES7288-1ST20-0AA0) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU ST20 (6ES7288-1ST20-0AA1) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU ST30 (6ES7288-1ST30-0AA0) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU ST30 (6ES7288-1ST30-0AA1) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU ST40 (6ES7288-1ST40-0AA0) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU ST40 (6ES7288-1ST40-0AA1) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU ST60 (6ES7288-1ST60-0AA0) (All versions), SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU ST60 (6ES7288-1ST60-0AA1) (All versions). Affected devices do not properly handle TCP packets with an incorrect structure. This could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause a denial of service condition. To restore normal operations, the network cable of the device needs to be unplugged and re-plugged.
Botan is a C++ cryptography library. X.509 certificates can identify elliptic curves using either an object identifier or using explicit encoding of the parameters. Prior to versions 3.3.0 and 2.19.4, an attacker could present an ECDSA X.509 certificate using explicit encoding where the parameters are very large. The proof of concept used a 16Kbit prime for this purpose. When parsing, the parameter is checked to be prime, causing excessive computation. This was patched in 2.19.4 and 3.3.0 to allow the prime parameter of the elliptic curve to be at most 521 bits. No known workarounds are available. Note that support for explicit encoding of elliptic curve parameters is deprecated in Botan.
Flatnotes <v5.3.1 is vulnerable to denial of service through the upload image function.
A weakness has been identified in CodeMirror up to 5.65.20. Affected is an unknown function of the file mode/markdown/markdown.js of the component Markdown Mode. This manipulation causes inefficient regular expression complexity. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be exploited. Upgrading to version 6.0 is able to address this issue. You should upgrade the affected component. Not all code samples mentioned in the GitHub issue can be found. The repository mentions, that "CodeMirror 6 exists, and is [...] much more actively maintained."
A vulnerability has been found in MarkText up to 0.17.1 and classified as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is the function getRecommendTitleFromMarkdownString of the file marktext/src/main/utils/index.js. The manipulation leads to inefficient regular expression complexity. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used.
This affects all versions of the package node-static; all versions of the package @nubosoftware/node-static. The package fails to catch an exception when user input includes null bytes. This allows attackers to access http://host/%00 and crash the server.
Multer is a node.js middleware for handling `multipart/form-data`. Versions prior to 2.0.0 are vulnerable to a resource exhaustion and memory leak issue due to improper stream handling. When the HTTP request stream emits an error, the internal `busboy` stream is not closed, violating Node.js stream safety guidance. This leads to unclosed streams accumulating over time, consuming memory and file descriptors. Under sustained or repeated failure conditions, this can result in denial of service, requiring manual server restarts to recover. All users of Multer handling file uploads are potentially impacted. Users should upgrade to 2.0.0 to receive a patch. No known workarounds are available.
An issue in taurusxin ncmdump v1.3.2 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via memory exhaustion by supplying a crafted .ncm file
A vulnerability was found in the ilab model serve component, where improper handling of the best_of parameter in the vllm JSON web API can lead to a Denial of Service (DoS). The API used for LLM-based sentence or chat completion accepts a best_of parameter to return the best completion from several options. When this parameter is set to a large value, the API does not handle timeouts or resource exhaustion properly, allowing an attacker to cause a DoS by consuming excessive system resources. This leads to the API becoming unresponsive, preventing legitimate users from accessing the service.
A vulnerability was found in Undertow. This issue requires enabling the learning-push handler in the server's config, which is disabled by default, leaving the maxAge config in the handler unconfigured. The default is -1, which makes the handler vulnerable. If someone overwrites that config, the server is not subject to the attack. The attacker needs to be able to reach the server with a normal HTTP request.
A denial-of-service vulnerability exists via the CIP/Modbus port in the Rockwell Automation Micro850/870 (2080 -L50E/2080 -L70E). If exploited, the CIP/Modbus communication may be disrupted for short duration.
A flaw was found in NetworkManager. When a system running NetworkManager with DEBUG logs enabled and an interface eth1 configured with LLDP enabled, a malicious user could inject a malformed LLDP packet. NetworkManager would crash, leading to a denial of service.
A Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability was discovered in the /api/v1/boards/{board_id} endpoint of invoke-ai/invokeai version v5.0.2. This vulnerability occurs when an excessively large payload is sent in the board_name field during a PATCH request. By sending a large payload, the UI becomes unresponsive, rendering it impossible for users to interact with or manage the affected board. Additionally, the option to delete the board becomes inaccessible, amplifying the severity of the issue.
Vulnerability in SK Hynix DDR5 on x86 allows a local attacker to trigger Rowhammer bit flips impacting the Hardware Integrity and the system's security. This issue affects DDR5: DIMMs produced from 2021-1 until 2024-12.
Scrapy versions up to 2.13.2 are vulnerable to a denial of service (DoS) attack due to a flaw in its brotli decompression implementation. The protection mechanism against decompression bombs fails to mitigate the brotli variant, allowing remote servers to crash clients with less than 80GB of available memory. This occurs because brotli can achieve extremely high compression ratios for zero-filled data, leading to excessive memory consumption during decompression.
