CVSS v3.1 |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.3.25, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-confluence-to-markdown package is affected by improper input validation in confluence to markdown scaffolder module. Insufficient input validation in the Confluence to Markdown scaffolder module could allow an attacker to influence file write operations during template execution. Exploitation requires a Backstage user to run a template that processes attacker-influenced Confluence content. This issue is fixed in version 0.3.25. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.3.25, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-confluence-to-markdown package is affected by improper repository path validation in a scaffolder backend module. An authenticated user who can execute an affected template and control its repository file location may cause generated content to be written outside the task workspace, within locations writable by the Backstage backend process. This issue is fixed in version 0.3.25. |
| Improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory ('path traversal') in Visual Studio Code allows an authorized attacker to disclose information over a network. |
| A flaw was found in the ContentRepositoryImpl.copyExplodedContent function of the wildfly-core library, which is used by WildFly and JBoss EAP to manage server deployments. The issue occurs when the library processes an unsanitized deployment name. Due to a missing containment check, an attacker with the Deployer RBAC role can use path traversal sequences to access files outside the restricted deployment directory. This can allow the attacker to delete arbitrary directories or create files with arbitrary content, leading to a full privilege escalation to the management SuperUser role. |
| Dell Unisphere for PowerMax vApp, version(s) 9.2.4.x, contain(s) an Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Information disclosure. |
| Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 and 11.x releases before 11.3.7 allow an authenticated Query Console user to supply unsafe path values to a privileged filesystem helper, which could result in disclosure of arbitrary server files. |
| Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 and 11.x releases before 11.3.7 contain privileged legacy InfoStudio modules that do not sufficiently validate user-controlled file paths and user-context values. Exploitation could result in unauthorized access to server files or execution under an unintended identity. |
| A path traversal vulnerability in the OTRS SendSupportBundle functionality allows an authenticated administrator to reference file paths outside the intended directory.
This may allow files accessible to the OTRS application process to be deleted. The vulnerability does not bypass operating system file permissions. On OTRS versions prior to OTRS 7, the effective permissions of the web server process are relevant. Starting with OTRS 7, access is limited by the permissions of the dedicated OTRS user. Files with overly permissive ownership or file system permissions may therefore also be affected.
The affected functionality may additionally attempt to include controlled files in a support bundle. However, support bundles are sent to a predefined OTRS support address, and direct disclosure of arbitrary files to the attacker has not been demonstrated.
An attacker therefore requires valid administrative access to exploit the vulnerable functionality. The primary demonstrated impact is the deletion of files outside the intended directory within the effective permissions of the OTRS application process.
This issue affects OTRS:
* 7.0.X
* 8.0.X
* 2023.X
* 2024.X
* 2025.X
* 2026.X before 2026.7.X
Please note that ((OTRS)) Community Edition 6.x and before are vulnerable. Products based on the ((OTRS)) Community Edition also very likely to be affected |
| Improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory ('path traversal') vulnerability in Apache Camel Karavan.
A project file name supplied through the project file API was used verbatim as a path segment when the project was written to the working copy for a Git commit, so a name containing `../` sequences caused the file content to be written outside the project directory, to any location writable by the Karavan process. An authenticated user of any role could use this to overwrite application configuration or files on the application classpath and so execute code in the Karavan container.
This issue affects Apache Camel Karavan: from 3.18.0 before 4.22.1.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.22.1, which fixes the issue. |
| Path traversal vulnerabilities in Palo Alto Networks Checkov by Prisma® Cloud enable an unauthenticated local user to write files to arbitrary locations on the scanning filesystem. |
| Directory traversal vulnerability in ZZIPlib 0.13.69 allows attackers to overwrite arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in a zip file, because of the function unzzip_cat in the bins/unzzipcat-mem.c file. |
| Thelia v2.6.1 contains path traversal and PHP code injection vulnerabilities in its translation editor that can be chained to achieve remote code execution. The `item_name` parameter, used to build the translation file's write path, does not sanitize directory traversal sequences such as `../`. This enables an authenticated user with `UPDATE`-level permissions on `admin.configuration.language` to write files outside the expected `templates/` directory, including to web‑accessible paths. Separately, the translation‑writing logic does not escape `\` in user‑supplied values, allowing inputs to break out of the PHP string literal and inject executable code into the translation file. Chained together, these flaws allow a malicious PHP file to be written to a web-accessible path and executed with the web‑server’s privileges. |
| OPNsense is a FreeBSD based firewall and routing platform. Prior to version 26.1.11, the Firewall Alias GeoIP importer's process_zip() and process_gzip() paths in src/opnsense/scripts/filter/lib/alias/geoip.py use an unvalidated CSV country_code value to construct output filenames below /usr/local/share/GeoIP/alias. A user with Firewall Alias Edit privilege can configure an attacker-controlled GeoIP source URL and supply an archive whose country code traverses into another existing directory, causing attacker-controlled content to be written as root with an -IPv4 or -IPv6 suffix. A crafted newsyslog fragment and oversized log file can use the default hourly root cron job to execute commands as root, resulting in complete firewall compromise. This issue is fixed in version 26.1.11. |
| A security flaw has been discovered in Polaris Office App 9.9.19 on Android. Affected by this vulnerability is the function com.infraware.service.m.n.a of the component Document Intake. The manipulation of the argument _display_name results in path traversal. The attack is only possible with local access. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. Upgrading to version 9.9.22 addresses this issue. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component. The vendor confirms: "We added path validation logic to ensure that files are created only within the designated temporary directory." |
| A security flaw has been discovered in westboy CicadasCMS up to 2431154dac8d0735e04f1fd2a3c3556668fc8dab. This impacts the function TemplateController.save of the file /system/cms/template/save of the component Backend Template Editor. The manipulation results in path traversal. The attack may be performed from remote. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in bleenco abstruse up to 2.1.0. This issue affects the function filepath.Join of the file server/api/worker/download_cache.go of the component Cache Endpoint. Such manipulation of the argument File leads to path traversal. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| A vulnerability was found in InstantSoft icms2 up to 2.18.2. Impacted is the function files_delete_file of the file system/fields/image.php of the component Image Handler. Performing a manipulation of the argument size results in path traversal. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The patch is named 03d70937f1ff97031523222808726994b8b79379. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue. |
| A path traversal vulnerability has been reported to affect Qsirch. If exploited, the vulnerability could allow remote attackers to read the contents of unexpected files or system data.
We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following version:
Qsirch 7.0.3.0 and later |
| The Ultimate Multisite WordPress plugin before 2.17.2 does not validate a user-supplied value used to select a file to include, allowing unauthenticated attackers to include and read arbitrary local files, including the WordPress configuration file. |
| FreeRDP before 3.32.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in convert_filedescriptors_to_file_list() in winpr/libwinpr/clipboard/synthetic_file.c, which concatenates server-supplied cFileName values from FileGroupDescriptorW clipboard data into the published local file:// URI without rejecting '/' or '..' sequences. A malicious RDP server can supply '../' sequences so the user's next clipboard paste copies an arbitrary local file readable by the client user instead of the expected remote file. |
